If a child complains of a headache, should we hold off on treating it for as long as possible?
That kind of comparison to something medically trivial like a headache isn't helpful for your argument.
How do you know it's medically trivial? Would you just tell your child to shut the fuck and take an Advil over and over? Because children don't truly understand pain and there's no way it could be more than some cold or something? If a headache doesn't go away or keeps recurring, it might not be trivial.
Do you think that thousands of children are having their genitals cut off every day because they held a Barbie once?
I do know that hundreds of teenagers will have bone issues and will be sterile for the rest of their lives because their parents care more about acceptance than actually being a parent and put their kids on puberty blockers just because their kid had a questioning phase.
Nope.
Those are literally the side effects of puberty blockers.
