Illegal immigrants are not allowed to work here, so how would they have pay stubs and the credentials needed to qualify for these programs?

And even if they somehow did, they'd still be taking out more than they put in. That's what the welfare benefits indicate. Which means a redistribution of wealth from citizens to people who shouldn't even be working here.

We have an extremely strict vetting system. Unless you marry in or have parents/children, it takes well over a decade to gain citizenship, and even then it's difficult. We don't give out nearly enough green cards.

There are very few developed nations that are harder to immigrate to legally.

Do Canada and the Norwegian countries take in a comparable number of people (compared to the total population in those countries) and are they stricter in terms of accepting only people with an education and good career prospects?
