He's entitled to have dating/relationship standards, just like everyone else is.
He's just stating what it would take for him to be interested in pursuing a relationship and it sounds a bit conservative. That's fair.

And other people have the right to refuse to date him if they don't feel his expectations are compatible with their own.

It's similar when a woman looking for a long term partner lists a specific set of criteria she's looking for, otherwise she's not interested. It's fine because if any of her criteria sounds unreasonable, other people still reserve the right to look elsewhere.

There's literally nothing oppressive about what he said as far as relationship conditions he's looking for. It's just a bit idealistic in the current decade. However, he's also not demanding anyone conform to what he wants.
