I tell her I don't care about lyrics beyond how they fit into the song as a whole. I rarely to never even know what the lyrics actually are. i do think words help shape the song. different words would result in a different feel, even if the melody is the same. but i don't always care about the actual meaning behind the words. if the lyrics are great, great. if the lyrics are bad, they'd have to be reeaaaaally bad to ruin the song if the rest of it is good. --- ...
