Its all about progressive voters being excited and showing up to vote. If they show up to vote (see 2008), its a landslide for the democrats. If they arent excited and dont show up, republicans will win. Swing voters having any real impact on an election is just a myth to attempt to make candidates more moderate and centrist. Right.
