I mean, I guess for some it could be, but there is amazing value in seeing ancient architecture, poking around old cities, visiting beautiful landscapes, absorbing new cultures, tasting local cuisines, etc. Nothing wrong with also maintaining perspective and being grateful for what you have, but some of my fondest memories are sipping a cappuccino in some little Italian cafe, or chilling on an isolated stretch of beach in Croatia. These are incredible experiences I was lucky to have and hope to have one day again. It's a big beautiful world and to dismiss travel as just "grass is always greener" is extremely silly. --- -Shred ... Copied to Clipboard! |
