And youre right, actually. Being funny DOES help. I defended Kramers racist jokes when they happened, as jokes, but they werent funny. If they were, the backlash wouldnt have been nearly as crazy as it was.

Pretty much where I'm at.

I've listened to some of the podcast stuff he was criticized for (as a result of this news, that is. Never heard of the guy before today), and much like the Kramer thing if he were able to deliver the joke in a way that wasn't just flat-out offensive, the backlash probably wouldn't be so severe. He seems like he's trying too hard to be edgy and failing miserably at it, but he's still at least attempting comedy.

That said, SNL are entirely within their right to can the guy. I guess Andrew Yang agreed to meet with him and feels he shouldn't be fired, for what that's worth.
