I never leave early, and am (usually) happy to stay a few minutes late, because I like the money more than my time. the owner regularly leaves early if it's dead (though usually no more than 15 minutes), because he has kids and a wife who has a busy work schedule. but if there are people, he won't kick them out until close, or even a few minutes past if he's not getting the leash pulled. but that's a small business. chains will rarely let the staff close early or be willing to pay employees to stay late. --- Boom!
