I think you can argue either way. I would probably not protest but I respect those who would.

I did flip off the KKK rally that was held in my city years ago but we happened to be driving by, I wasnt really an active protestor.

Flipping off a KKK rally as you happen to drive by isn't really that far off from a neutral reaction. If they blinked or turned their heads they'd miss you entirely.

My problem with the protestors is they reportedly outnumbered the straight pride rally by about 5 to 1. They're basically giving the parade legitimacy. It'd look more pathetic for the straight pride folk if everyone ignored them. Quite frankly, I don't see why this is something someone needs to protest.

Straight pride, in theory, shouldn't be interpreted as homophobia. It isn't the same as a KKK rally though I would assume there is some overlap.

The fact that people got so outraged over this parade almost seems to legitimize it. Like why not just leave them alone? Technically, they aren't hurting anybody. They're just being pretty stupid.
