No it isn't why Trump won, but it clearly doesn't help anything. It just makes you personally feel better. It also tends to escalate thibgs further.
Instead of screaming at someone that you think they're a racist and awful and all that you should just quietly think that to yourself and walk away. Meanwhile, be politically active and reach out to those in the middle in hopes of swaying their votes.
Like it or not, idiot Trump supporters are a big part of this country. You need to make some sort of attempt to work with them or work around them. You can't shame them into not existing.
Trump supporters tend to be pretty awful, but a lot of leftists take that to mean they can be slightly less awful and immune to criticism. As embarrassed as I am of Trump supporters I am similarly embarassed of all the "progressives" who fail to look at themselves in the mirror.
