Of course not, but I'm not sure this situation is so black and white. Did Alec do anything do anything that should put him in jail, or destroy his life past the point of repentance? I'm not so sure.

so you're questioning the facts, want to know his side, or wonder what's omitted. that's fine. if that's your argument you won't get much pushback.

it hasn't been though. you've been arguing for her claims being true or, at the very least, more truthful than not. from there you've been saying that in a case where abuse happens it shouldn't be said publicly or waited on. that's wrong, it's an argument that only protects abusers and makes it a lot harder for someone to come out with the truth and if you care for the facts of the case you want as recent as possible to get as much evidence as possible while it's there and because that's going to be the best chance memory will be accurate. questioning that "truth" is fine, going broader it's one of the issues with #metoo in general, but you shouldn't be making actual victims have some sort of limitation.
