Yeah Danny carey is definitely the highlight of tool for sure. I agree that neil peart is insanely overrated. Lots of 70s prog drummers mop the floor with him. Phil Collins is super underrated. If you havent heard his work with brand x, it makes peart look like a novice


I dunno, Justin goes pretty hard on the bass too and him and Danny sort of become one creature on a lot of those tracks.

That being said, I also think Phil Collins was a better drummer than frontman, but the 80's had to happen. At least Jason Bonham could pull off being a frontman and drummer at the same time but his band didn't really go places. Neither did Methods of Mayhem when Tommy Lee tried.

Let's face it, there's a good reason very few drummers are also lead vocals...
