When I think about it, the poll result is in no way surprising. It does, however, shed light on a significant blind spot of cognitive dissonance I didn't fully realize was present in my life.
If I passed this poll on to everyone who I regularly have meaningful interactions with in real life, the split would probably be more like 80% good, 20% bad.
I don't mean to say that marijuana is the end all be all or whatever, just that the question is probably a relatively decent predictor of "lifestyle compatibility" - a term I'm just making up / using for my own general purpose - among people.
People probably are going to disagree with that, which is cool. But for me personally this was kind of eye opening.

Living in Colorado, even people who I never would have thought smoke, do actually smoke. Its treated largely like alcohol here. More and more people are becoming comfortable with admitting they smoke out here. ---
