TopicHow to I pay for college/take out a loan myself?

People on reddit keep bitching about how I should stop telling my parents to get a loan when I should pay for it but they're so reluctant on telling HOW I can pay for it? Like, WTF I am MORE than willing to pay for it myself!

Problem is I have no credit history! Am I supposed to work my $10.50 per hour job until I'm able to rack up $58K?

I tried calling a couple banks and demanding that they let me speak to someone who can give me the loan despite no credit history but those poor ladies kept refusing. Jerks

I bring this up again because UD is forcing me to take summer classes, which is fine except it takes place during two events very personal to me that I refuse to miss them. It's a once in a life time opportunity!

So yeah I'm totally gonna throw away a 6K college to attend these two events, now I'm back to square one

it's either American (45K, 58K if I can't cut room and board. I was kind of planning on living in my car)

or Houston (~20K though I didn't get official financial aid yet. could be more, could be less)

please help me guys my DESTINY is riding on it.
