If I'm only finding gates and no powerups, it's not fun. If I go through a few rooms of nothing just to find a thing I can't do and have to go back, why not put the gates in a better spot? In the very first level, I managed to find every single gate, and the LAST spot I went to was finally something I could use to open up just one of those. In the end, it seemed mostly pointless to have those roadblocks all over. Yamata_Demon posted... Does it? I remember not being able to reach a lot of areas without specific items and abilities like double jump or wall jump.
