Half of them are HypnoDisc clones. Well, yeah. BattleBots and Robot Wars were on TV at the same time, both in the late 90's during their original runs AND during their revivals in the past couple of years. There are a few common weapon types in the sport, and spinners are generally considered the most powerful among them. Hypno-Disc was one of the first truly devastating spinners, and it helped inspire more bots to use that weapon type.
