Do you use YouTube?

I do, but I don't fall into the 18-24 demo. I'm in the 30-49 demo where apparently 87% of the demo use it.

I have literally never used Facebook, though. Or Twitter. Or any of the other social media sites they list in that article. Apparently I'm not the "median" American because I only use 1 out of 8 instead of 3 out of 8.

94% of statistics on the internet are made up on the spot, 65% of people know that.

The real problem isn't whether or not statistics are made up, it's that even when statistics are 100% factually accurate, the vast majority of people have no idea what statistics mean or how to interpret them anyway. So they become less of a tool of science and more a tool of rhetoric.

I love YouTube. In the past seven days on my phone alone Ive used it for like five and a half hours.

I'm literally watching it while I type this. It's about 99% of everything I "watch" these days. I've more or less stopped watching TV entirely.

I generally watch more longform stuff, though, and I usually watch it while multitasking (doing other things online like I'm doing right now, while playing games like Minecraft, etc).
