| Compsognathus 06/04/19 5:06:31 PM #3: | I'm of the opinion that erasing people's memories without permission, tampering with their minds, or psychically compelling a person to do something is every bit as immoral as physical rape. It represents the complete and total loss of autonomy, self-control, and free will. Even if done with good intentions, you are taking control of the one thing that a person should always have control over. It isn't excusable. So yes, Syd was manipulated by the Shadow King and given a false impression of David. But that was still her impression and under that impression she would never have consented to sleeping with him. That's rape. It was only made worse by the fact that he also violated her mind. David got screwed. He got put in a terrible spot and his actions are understandable, but they were an unethical shortcut. Instead of trying to counter Shadow King's lies, he just erased them.
