It's think it depends on the context of the posts in general.

There was recently a thread where someone made this grand, sweeping "whites are oppressed!" post, being a clown, in a thread about Lauren Ingraham or whatever slipping in a known white supremacist/anti-Semite into a news story about conservatives being silenced. This guy that she lumped in with all of these poor silenced conservatives? He's said, in no uncertain terms, "White people need to band together and do a better job at wiping out the Jewish race". That shit is on public record. And this GameFAQs user chooses a thread about this white supremacist getting a public nod to stand up and say "well she's actually right about whites being oppressed, no-one is sympathetic to it because it's socially acceptable to hate white skin, and we need to be proud of our whiteness and shit".

This user could have picked any topic on this board about race, or they could have made their own heavily biased topic where they add such a far-right slant to the incident that they completely obfuscate the connection to this white supremacist fuck, in order to make their white oppression sob story post. But they buried it 90 posts deep in a topic that draws the connection between Lauren Ingraham and a documented anti-Semite in the very first post. This wasn't new info presented later in the thread - the news of this guy being a white supremacist was present in the OP. It's what the thread was about.

So, by that metric, it's not wholly irrelevant to question the nature of their post.

"Your post has these connotations due to the nature of the thread. If that's where you're going with this, if you're seriously going to ally your grand racial point to someone who's said this sort of thing in no uncertain terms - fuck off. This isn't just "urr black people were mean to me once" dumbass racism, this is attaching some point about supposed fairness in society to a white supremacist who's calling for genocide. This post is disgusting."

A bit self-righteous, but the reason for the negative reaction is given and the concern expressed is reasonable. No mod in their right mind is going to moderate "fuck off" in response to "this person who - as explained in this thread - lumped an avowed white supremacist in with conservative writers is right that white people are oppressed, and the fact that she's getting heat for this only goes to show that it's free game to discriminate against whites. gamers rise up". Any moron with a solid 10% of workable grey matter can see what the poster is trying to do there.

Unless what they're saying is somehow even more disgusting and overt than that, "fuck off" on its own can be considered a low effort troll or anti-social post. Making an effort to clarify what they mean, disavowing the direction their post is appearing to take and telling them to fuck off in the event of that being the case? Your ass is at least a bit more covered than it was before.
