Yeah, because you could always be fired for a stupid thing if they don't want a trans person there, so how can you fight it? It's kind of hard. Though, I believe we ARE protected in employment, so why would an employer want to hire us if they fear getting rid of us if we don't work out is a possible outcome?

Ah, I see. Yeah, she can't move forward if she has those barriers. I left my job because I wanted to move on and start over. She'll have to do the same, or transition in the job. On and off at work is no way to live. She needs 100% liberation from this male role.


Guess that's true, but I feel like in Mass most people don't care. At least at the hospital I work at there's multiple out transitioning people, no one cares. My boss is a lesbian and no one cares. Maybe in Central mass there's some discriminatory people, but Eastern and Western Mass seems to be relatively safe.

They covered the SRS too? How much did you pay for that?

That'll be her choice to make, if she ever feels confident.
