I saw the picture in the deleted post, why did it get deleted? Looked nice.

Anyway, asking primarily for a trans friend who is transitioning and working towards passing. They're having a huge fear about going in public as a female. I've been trying to help, but they just have this staunch fear about it and think all eyes will fall on them immediately. Which isn't true, but I can't say that either or work a way around it. How did you get past those fears, if you had them, or what can I do or say to get them over that fear. It's been like this for about a year, and I legitimately think they could pass easily if they dressed appropriately (and I've already said this to them too).

It was me a few years ago. I didn't authorize posting of my photo.

Depends on where you live. I live in Massachusetts and have been going to college as the female me. I made so many friends and have loved my out-time. I just fear employment issues because ..... well, you can easily be discriminated over a job and not know for sure. You can't prove it and it is always in the back of my mind.... but in college, you have opportunities to build friendships and connections to help get you to those careers you seek, so I went back to school.

I think she should try. She'll only get depressed not doing anything.
