A) Tech sales B) Yes I did C) Its the same role and pay, but a more well known company. Having it on my resume will open a lot of doors. Theyre also much more stable financially, which gives me more opportunity to grow D) Technically no but Ive been contacted by recruiting agencies about this company multiple times. I just went around them and applied directly E) Considering that its very difficult to get into this company and they tend to hire through third party agencies, I feel pretty awesome that I got in without any help and they selected me out of hundreds of others

I gotta ask, how does it feel to be a woman in tech sales? My wife is in demand gen (horizontal) and has a bone to pick with how people treat her at trade shows a lot. She'll get like 1st or 2nd in leads, but always feels greasy afterward.
Also, what kind of tech? My wife works for Faro (they do 3d scanning for aerospace and shit in case you're not familiar with the company).
Ive done trade shows in the past and its always felt gross. Im in software sales now though and my clients are mostly software engineers and theyve been pretty respectful to me. Its more difficult to assert myself on the team though. Every meeting, all the men just talk over each other and interrupt. My boss used to say I needed to be more vocal in meetings and when I tried, hed interrupt and talk over me every time.
