Sometimes, its to pretend youre straight. If you can trick yourself, you can sometimes convince others. Also, it can get parents off your back about dating. Or can at least stop people asking about it. Sometimes, they will even have kids. Some people do it for status. Like, if youre the high school QB, people expected you to be manly and stuff. But if you turned out to be gay, that could be a problem. Especially in a locker room. So you get a beard, as its called...
