| Polycosm 05/14/19 11:54:55 AM #21: | Battletoads is a tough series to recommend, as it really only appeals to a certain kind of masochistic gamer. Personally, I find the SNES entry (Battletoads in Battlemaniacs) to be much more replayable. It's a lot shorter, a bit easier, and still hits all the major highlights from the original. I haven't gone back to the NES version in years. If you don't get your fill from Battlemaniacs, then the NES game is great. It's got a ton more variation. If it were me... I'd learn how to install a new pin connector. It's one of the easiest repairs you can do on a retro console and if you enjoy retro gaming, you should bite the bullet and learn some basic maintenance like replacing cartridge batteries and all that, imho.
