The creators wanted to work on Star Wars and that godawful Confederate show in peace

GRRM said they could've easily went up to 10 seasons at the current pace, so he had no part of it

he did in the sense that he hasn't finished a book in the 8 seasons or what is it 10 years? that the show has been on.

While yes D and D deserve to get shit on for rushing this, GRRM deserves shit for not finishing his own story and expecting someone else to tie up what is a very complex story all together in a nice little bow.

People hating on it have like no legitimate argument half the time. Dany's character has been heading this way, people just didn't want to acknowledge it I suppose. Cersei and Jaime was weak, but this season has been solid for the most part.

Dany has never harmed an innocent. Not a single time. It's literally her character defining trait.

Burning the Tarlys is not the same thing. The only way anyone could argue it's in character for Dany is if they forget the whole Essos plot from Qarth onwards.

Dany is crazy and would for sure destroy noble houses left and right but she's not gonna kill innocents for no reason at all.

I haven't heard one good argument for her killing all these innocents besides "she went mad, she hated everyone around her and lost all this shit that's so instead of going crazy in a way that makes sense like trying to kill Sansa or Tyrion and Jon or anything like that she gave up the few real beliefs she had for the lulz".

while rushed in season 8, the threats of a new mad king being Danny have been there. She has struggled since day 1 of being a queen to be nice a fair and rule with strength. When entering the north since day 1 she has to contend with not being loved there and everyone wanting Jon to be king of the north again because everyone loves Jon.

Season 8 just rushed this process. Instead of a slow break up between Jon and Danny we got the quickie break up for example.

She literally had this struggle when she chained up her dragons and then let them free again. She realized she had to at least in part be a dragon and dragons eat whatever they want.
