Explicitly not being able to handle a public apology to kids certainly makes it look that way. And comparing an apology to death automatically throws your argument into question.

Not that I think the public apology was necessary in the first place, but he had already agreed to it in writing. At least keep your word.

It wont be just kids. Its gonna be staff, parents, etc. Its theatre. It's ridiculous to demand a public apology to a giant crowd. It's not like he said anything outrageous. They said fuck you and what he said was honestly a pretty civil response to kids that sound like they need some discipline
