She'd often end up hurting me herself so he wouldn't, as a way to "protect" us both from him. Tons of emotional and mental abuse, with a healthy dose of physical tossed in too. Was taught that I'm worthless scum from early childhood, that I don't deserve to live, and that I'll never be good enough for anyone to love or care about me. bro, that's not how it works.
