Topic	Why do 80's movies seem so much better than today's movies?

Nothing with computer effects will ever touch movies like Alien or The Thing. Also, personally I feel like in the 80s they knew how to take stuff less serious and have more fun. Look at all the action movies of the time. Sure there a fair amount of shitty ones, but at least with those shitty ones you could still have a good time.
