Topic	Why do 80's movies seem so much better than today's movies?
toadfan64 12/29/18 1:56:21 AM #4:	Being less reliant on stuff like CGI is a big benefit. Anything with practical effects is gonna get my interest way before stuff with cgi. Nothing with computer effects will ever touch movies like Alien or The Thing. Also, personally I feel like in the 80s they knew how to take stuff less serious and have more fun. Look at all the action movies of the time.
