This definitely doesn't work

One of my exes told me that her grandfather had a experimental treatment done which they drained the old blood from his body and replaced it with new blood to get rid of a cancer. The guy now is in great shape running a farm so I believe it works.

Blood transfusions are common for cancer patients. It is a good way for them to get energy back, especially after chemo. Not sure what the experimental part of that is.

I'd assume the new blood gives a healthy dose of red blood cells which the body would need as chemo can cause anemia- especially if the treatment was targeted at bone marrow
