I'm american, never watched eurovision. don't really care about it, but it seems stupid that other continents are let in. I know it's some "expansion program" or whatever. but it's still dumb. Israel has been in Eurovision since the 70s and it is because they are members of the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) which is the organisation that own Eurovision.
