This is valid criticism, IMO. Ugh, especially Dr. Melfis closing. That was by far my biggest issue with the series. I also am not a fan of the Clever sub plot and absolutely hated the D-Girl episode.

I seemed to be in the minority but I loved the Kevin Finnerty coma dream.

See I didn't hate the Melfi stuff at all aside from how heavy handed it felt when they showed the definition highlighted in her book and made it clear that it was about Tony never changing. I felt she should have recognized that far before or, at minimum, by herself instead of how forced it felt.

I mean, it was clear that Tony never was going to change and instead of reaching true enlightenment and accept who he was, hence the whole point of the coma stuff and really the last season entirely. Instead he rejected that and embraced his worst qualities and poisioned everything and everyone around him. But they didn't need to litetally spell out how sociopaths never change.
