Believe it or not but some people are able to break out of their upbringing. The ones that don't usually make believe it's impossible so they don't have to take even a fraction of the blame.

Sure, but generally speaking they're the exceptions to the rule. Also, breaking free of one part of it isn't the same as breaking free of all of it, and people will only hold up the parts they've overcome while overlooking the rest.


I mean, people should congratulate themselves for what they overcome. Only focusing on what's still wrong is a losing battle. Perfection isn't achievable. Nothing wrong with finding good enough and being content, long as your good enough isn't harming those around you. You might even harm others around you more by never feeling good enough. It's exhausting being around people who are always trying to trump your optimism with pessimism.
