that was the only part of his video that I watched, but not because I don't feel his arguments don't have merit, but because I don't like watching longer YouTube videos.

I assume that the next part was about the bounty system, which could be annoying.


I think the issue is when as a player you have scenarios where you can think up your own tactics that don't contradict or ruin the story but you're just outright not allowed.

In a sense the game is more designed like you're an actor who has to go through the right scenes in the right order. You are not encouraged to experiment and you don't have any real agency over your actions. The shoot out in Valentine is a prime example. I didn't follow Dutch out the door so I failed. There's a lot of stuff like that.

The mission where you steal the oil carriage is one of the sole exceptions. So they can do it.
