No I enjoy it, it's just a bit of a grind at the moment. I'm so early on that everything is quite laborious. So food is not that nutritious and I need to catch it by hand, take it back to the base, cure it, then collect ingredients to stave off the thirst that generates. Diving is a pain because I can't breath that long or travel that fast, so collecting ore takes time.

I'm quite looking forward to getting upgrades that make self-sustaining food farms, etc.
Ah yeah, I understand. Well all I can say keep going, once you're able to build actual useful stuff you'll have no shortage of water or food.

There are a couple of useful (and dangerous) biomes you can access in the early game (at least by using floating air pumps and the first tank upgrade), but yeah... The deeper they are the scarier it gets
