Half the movie is spent basically just rehashing the stuff we already knew from the first movie, and then suddenly it jumps right into high gear with telepathy and mutant skin masks. I was expecting something along the lines of what the prequels provided, with the humans going deeper to try to discover how Earth became Planet of the Apes, but instead I got a weird bomb-worshipping cult going to war with the apes. It couldn't find a good middle ground between "we've seen this already" and "what the fuck is happening" and then it just ends with the most bizarrely abrupt endings I've ever seen." ~Johnbobb --- I'll just go back to gifs.
