2 and Samus/Mario 2 basically confirm my hypothesis that SFF is very sensitive and unpredictable.

Based on Tifa vs Sephiroth, Mario is still SFFing Samus. It just isn't nearly as bad as it was in 2005. It seems like users just aren't as willing to fall in line as they used to. While Link still put the hurt on Ganondorf, it wasn't anything like their 2004 match.

I think female power in general has to be factored in as well.

Id say its waifu boost, not female boost.

Maybe Im mistaken but it seems to be limited to Japanese females. I dont think western females like Jill Valentine and Quiet and The Boss benefit from it.

Whereas waifus from random visual novels and crap seem to do pretty decent. And a waifu like 2B can become legit very fast.

I think female characters can now achieve Midgard strength faster than male ones. Geralt was respectable, but his game was huge. Imagine if 2Bs game was as big as Witcher 3.

I think those sexist nerds you speak of are the same people voting now, they just find Japanese female video game characters sexually appealing/crushable.
