Wow 11.06% of brackets took Zelda > Snake normally but only 7.67% of second chance brackets took Zelda > Snake.

I guess people weren't impressed by what they saw?

I'm starting to doubt those numbers.

Yeah is it the same shenanigans where the 11.06% also includes Squall > Snake or something. This doesn't make any sense at all otherwise.

That's not how it worked. The shenanigans earlier was when they were showing numbers next to both names, the loser had all the brackets that picked wrong, regardless of whether their pick was in the match.

I wanted to discuss this also. Like, can you really picture someone watching what Zelda did to Squall and Aerith and the Boss, watching Big Boss and Ocelot disappoint relative to expectations (I'm not even counting Quiet in there; there's nothing to be gained from analyzing fodder vs. fodder matches), and saying "eh, maybe I gave Zelda too much credit; better switch to Snake.

The obvious answer is that Zelda's initial support was disproportionately concentrated among the minimum 1509 bracketmakers that didn't make a Second Chance Bracket, and that she didn't gain as many believers as we thought with that run because Snake is just that well respected now.

(Minimum based on the highly unlikely event that every Second Chance bracketmaker also made a main bracket.)
