Im not gonna lie about backpedaling being something I do. Because it's one the learning processes I use. I type up a half assed thought I don't fully believe in and wait for someone to give me better information. If it works then I just tricked someone into giving me information while they get to feel good about being right. People are way more likely to give you information if they can throw it in your face.

I would have to disagree, if you do that to most people they will tell you its manipulative as yourself have said and to not to do it again. But hey if you feel the need to be manipulative to get information out of someone than just being genuine and upfront, go for it. I personally wont do it because I know most people wont respect me for doing that to them, and I would respect their wishes in how they want to be talked to. Treat others as you would treat yourself and all that.

Damn. Caught it lol. The thing is, I follow that treat others rule of thumb. I just don't care if others do it to me. Id bond with them over it
