I and many other sex work advocates are aware of the sordid history of sex work.
The thing is sex work is not going to go away. It remains a demand for society, no matter how little we want to admit it, and no amount of shaming or proselytism in thousands of years has done a lick of changing that.
If we cannot remove it as a demand, the focus should instead be to provide a supply that is safe and regulated for all involved. To create an industry where the workers are in control of their own agency.
That's never going go happen and you know it. The powerful porn companies may hide behind positive messaging campaigns and being "transparent", but in the end there's a group of men and probably a few women who want to use people like you and your body until you're "worn out" and "worthless" then toss you to the side when the next young, barely able to critically think prospect comes up.
