Was this a racist hate crime, or a welfare hate crime? Probably both.

I mean, it was clearly racist. But going by the reactions of the employees, I dont think we can completely discount there may have been physical provocations that might have triggered the escalation for why he pulled his gun out. But I guess well see what happens in court.

In the very same video the employee admitted he said that baselessly.

This is the transcript verbatim, let people interpret it as they will:

I said he pulled out for a reason, I didnt say why.

I didnt interpret it as him admitting to saying that baselessly, but hes aware he will escalate the situation further if he divulged his reasons. Thats just my take though. Hopefully he leaves those reasons for the courts to hear.

What makes you automatically give the guy with the gun the benefit of the doubt when you have no context...oh, except that another guy with context was there sticking up for the other people.

I mean, I will give more weight to the adult employees thoughts on the matter they witnessed than the teens who were directly involved in the incident. Maybe thats just me though

Who'd the cops arrest again? The kids?

Im not sure what that has to do with anything I said, would you mind elaborating? Maybe Im just not getting your point, but thats why courts exist, even if the teens did nothing legally wrong, the man could have his original charge he was arrested with lowered if the witnesses in the incident(the employees) gives any reason for the courts to do so. But again, I may have missed your intent, definitely wouldnt mind a clarification on your point.
