Topic	Of these different styles of RPG. Which one is the best?

Arguably flawed because there were platformers before Mario. The flip-side, of course, being that we used to call first-person shooters "Doom Clones" before we invented the term FPS, so there's ample precedent to use a term referring to the most popular game to codify a genre's style until a better, more generic term comes along to replace it. So the fact that "FPS" exists means we never need use a term like "Doom Clone" again (and "platformer" existing means we'd never need to call anything a "Mariolike". Whereas we're still using "Metroidvania" as a term and even "Diablo Clone" is still at least somewhat viable (though I prefer top-down hack-and-slash for that genre myself), because we have yet to come up with suitable genre names for those styles.
