Topic	New fish tank ordered, what should I do with it?

Do they school or have some unique behavior when kept in groups? I'm not very familiar. They are just more active when they have friends. I had a rope fish by himself and he never came out. I assumed he died for like 6 months then I found him just hanging out. However when he really did die, it took me a white to find out.
