They are the zenith of bad design. No it isn't. If I can literally save every two seconds I can just re load every time I get hit so I got full health when I get to the boss. Then I can in turn save after every hit I land on the boss so if I do lose I can load up my save and not have to fight the whole fight again. It kills the challenge of certain games.
