Imagine being such a shitty politician that Donald Trump beat you out.

Well.... keep in mind the country was coming off 8 years of Obama. The presidential pendulum tends to swing between parties every 8-12 years and Obama's approval ratings was down. This was also her second presidential bid so there was less enthusiasm, doubly so because she was all-but-guaranteed to get the party nomination and most people expected her to win the presidency. And, of course, the nation had a strong anti-establishment vibe going, which also helped Bernie Sanders.

That's not to say that she didn't fuck up. She didn't even bother visiting some places she hadn't expected to win (meaning fewer votes in those states). Her messaging was bland and she lacked both a memorable slogan (like Trump's #MAGA or Obama's "Yes, we can!").

I literally can't tell you one thing Hillary stood for.

Which was certainly one problem. She had a generic progressive platform rather than a specific focus, like Trump's wall/anti-immigration and economic focus.

You guys very possibly had the absolute worst political choices in history for that one.

As opposed to what? Bush v Kerry? Obama v Romney? America has learned to lower its expectations.
