Whenever I look at my own art all I see is mistakes and I have to get that shit out of my sight. There's a great but obviously nsfw pic out there illustating how the viewer sees hentai art (dick, boobs) and how the artist sees it (tweak the foreshortening here, need to adjust the light sourcing here...). As an illustrator of erotica myself, this is 100 percent accurate to the point that in most cases, I have to force myself to rely on the positive appraisals of my viewers over my own. How I wish that were true. I could see it. I make music, and no matter what my vision is for the listener I always hear my songs differently than they do.
