Consider the NFL used to of feature significantly less passing and more use of tailbacks and fullbacks and "pro style" I formation sets. That is not the case now. This has happened just over the past 10 years or so. A lot of teams do not even keep fullbacks on the team now. *** NBA basketball has seen a major emphasis on the three ball the past few years. See the Warriors. Basketball used to feature an emphasis on big 5 centers and post up style offenses and/or triangle. *** Baseball, especially since the end of the juice era, features a lot of small ball. Base stealing and high WAR/Exotic stat guys matter now more than just straight up RBI/HR dudes. *** NHL is vastly different too. Remember the New Jersey trap era? We don't have that now.
