Okay, so there's this story that's been quietly(?) breaking today that just took the most ridiculous turn.

The story: https://www.theatlantic.com/amp/article/574411

The Special Counsel's Office has referred to the FBI an alleged scheme by a right wing lobbyist and conspiracy theorist to pay women to make false allegations of sexual misconduct against Mueller. The article goes into detail about the scheme and some reporters were buzzing about how they had heard of it and were investigating and came to the same conclusion that it was a hoax.

but then the twist

It's referenced in the Atlantic article but this part was uncovered by NBC when they started digging into it: https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/justice-department/mueller-refers-sex-assault-scheme-targeting-him-fbi-inestigation-n926301

i will let this part speak for itself (Tweet from one of the reporters authoring the NBC story): https://twitter.com/oneunderscore__/status/1057351444905558016

Ben Collins on Twitter...
A company called "Surefire Intelligence" has ties to this Mueller smear. Jacob Wohl denied having ties to Surefire. Surefire's official phone number redirects to a voicemail box registered to Jacob's mom.

Jacob gave us comment at first, but went quiet when we told him Surefire Intelligence's phone number redirected to a voicemail account registered to his mom.
