Maybe I'm confused, but how else is he supposed to walk into the building? From the wall? Do they have a helipad for each tenant? Do people parachute into their balconies?
Meaning this -
I work at a school, and there is a card machine we use to unlock the door, the same as it is here at were they both live. Now let's say that I open the door to leave and someone I didn't know just walked in "off the street" and went into the school building. Should I stop the person and ask for some ID to make sure everyone is on the up and up or should I just let this person I don't know walk into the school when I don't know if they should be there or not and I can't know because they didn't even open up the door with their card.
This is a scary thing. Wasn't it just a month or two ago some people got killed in the Middle East because they thought it was racist to be afraid of people over there? Is a woman a sexist if she doesn't want to get into a strange man's car because she could be assaulted? You've got to go with your gut sometimes, not with what is or isn't going to offend someone. The guy clearly could have shown he lived there, but wanted to make things difficult because I'm sure he thought she was being racist, and that's because I'm positive he has encounter a lot of racist shit in his life like people fallowing him around a store or something.
Again, I'm on her side, even though I think she's kind of a bitch. What if he wasn't supposed to be there and she got him arrested before he killed someone? She would be getting praised for being so safe and watchful. I just wish more people would take things on a case by case bases. I personally would be happy if someone make sure I was supposed to be there, but that's because school shootings are a real thing in this Country, and I want the kids to be safe, no matter who get offended. Don't have a badge to get into the door yourself (not this guy, I know he had a badge, but I still don't think he used it to get into the door) and I don't know you, go to the office and check in. No matter who you are.
