Topic | Why is 3G internet slower today than dial-up was? |
Tyranthraxus 10/08/18 6:41:13 PM #6: | Kombucha posted... 4G in the US (different from 4G LTE) is just code name for HSPA+ which if I'm not wrong about is just an improved version of 3G. Locally I get 10mbps on it. I haven't been on a legit 3G band in a long time, at least not how it was defined upon release. Most of those were upgraded. "4G" is Wi-Max which is basically cell towers with microwaves LTE is a totally different thing but the speeds are about the same. Qualcomm torpedoed Wi-Max to death by using contract leverage over apple to refuse to adopt it for iPhones in favor of LTE. Guess who makes a lot of LTE antennas... --- It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha." https://imgur.com/dQgC4kv ... Copied to Clipboard! |
